Program Notes for the Week of 4/14/2014:
Mattress Fundraiser:
In conjunction with the Boys program, we will be holding a joint mattress sale fundraiser on Sat. May 3rd from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Avon lake HS. Pass the word to friends and family! Coach Daegen sent an e-mail with more details to players & parents last week.
Women's Pro Soccer:
Women's pro soccer is back as the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) returns for its second season. Action started this past weekend and will continue into Sept. The league now consists of 9 teams as an expansion club in Houston began play this year. The closest team to our area is the Western New York Flash who play in Rochester and are one of the best teams in the league. They feature well known National Team
players Abby Wambach and Carli Lloyd. If you want to check out a game, driving time to Rochester is about the same as to Cincinnati. For more info., go to the NWSL website at:

Alumni Game:
Tentative date for the Alumni Game & Picnic is Saturday July 12th. More details on location and times to follow, but mark your calendars now for an afternoon of soccer, food, & fellowship!
