Afterwards, we will move over to Bleser Park for a cookout and other activities. More details to follow, but mark your calendars now for an afternoon of soccer, food, & fellowship!!

World Cup 2014:
During the past week in The Men's World Cup the US lost to Germany 1-0 but still clinched a place in the round of 16.  Then today they were eliminated by Belgium 2-1 in a thrilling game that the US had multiple chances to win.  The US earned some respect this World Cup even though they may not have earned the wins they so badly wanted.  Future does look bright for USSoccer.  All the remaining games will be televised on ESPN.  Follow the World Cup on the official FIFA website at:

Shorty Sez:
We continue with our collection of motivational sayings coming from the Twitter sites called Women Love Sports and Coach K which may be found at:

Once there, here are some selected examples of tweets over the past week. Hope you find something that

inspires you here:

Defeat brings a lesson, it gives a chance to rebuild, a chance to start again, with the knowledge of what does not work.

You will never fully believe in yourself if you keep comparing yourself to everyone else.

Do something today that your future self will thank you for.

There's no need to be perfect to inspire others. Let people get inspired by how you deal with your imperfections.

Everything can't go perfectly. It's all about how you adapt from those things and learn from your mistakes.

Setbacks have an upside; they fuel new dreams.
